April 3, 1935 the Greeleyville Cash Depository was chartered by H. Fox, W.H. Connor, E.P. Evans and M. Joseph. A.M. Schrieberg was elected as president with E.P. Evans as Vice President. The cashier was W.H. Connor. The depository was located on Main Street in Greeleyville. The Depository changed its charter to a commercial bank on June 1, 1955 which is the Bank of Greeleyville. The Board of Directors at that time was L.G. Mishoe, W.H. Connor and Fred Joseph.
In 1989, the Bank of Greeleyville opened its first branch in Kingstree. The main office is still located on Main Street in Greeleyville.
